TOP 5 MAKANS DURING OUR
RESORT WORLD CRUISE!
Umi Uma Teppanyaki
Wahh, the most popular restaurant in The Palace… Umi Uma Teppanyaki! But if you wish to dine here, make sure to book as early as possible or the opportunity is as good as GONE (they have limited amount of tables sadly…) Guests will be able to choose between teppanyaki (duhh), korean barbeque, and yummy bento sets. Obviously, let’s not be a Karen and only sit at the teppanyaki table if you’re ordering ummmm, teppanyaki. It’s hard enough to get a table as it is, so let's make it easier for others to get a chance to experience this food journey~

World Dream Hot Pot
This ain’t no Hai Di Lao, but when will you ever get a chance to eat hotpot while enjoying the nice sea breeze and view! The restaurant is located at both sides of the ship, along the boardwalk. But uhhh one thing to note, there is a zipline directly above so you might hear some screaming…
At least the food’s good!

Googgle Man Char Koay Teow
As one of Penang’s most popular hawker food, of course we must try a good char kway teow stall! The chef cooks using traditional charcoal-fired stoves, making sure that every. single. strand. of. noodle. has the wok hei LOCKED in. We initially ordered one plate to share, but we ended up ordering another THREE more… I think that says a lot, no questions needed. If you wish to get a side dish to share with your friends, there is a neighbouring stall selling orh luak (fried oysters)!

Restoran Seng Huat Bak Kut Teh
Serving us good old-fashioned bak kut teh, this “meat bone tea” has been long loved by the locals ever since the early 1980s. Something unique about this particular bak kut teh, is that it seems to be more gravy-like. It’s also more on the herbal side? Rather than the usual peppery soups in Singapore’s bak kut teh scene. BUT SURPRISINGLY, our younger colleagues loved the herbal version! As for the ol- I mean, nOt AS yOuNg colleagues… not so much.

Bukku Cafe
We love love LOVEEE their hot chocolate with cinnamon!! The entire place had a very nice ambience as well, with a glasshouse concept which is quite unique. They pretty much have the whole deal with their extensive menu, serving hot meals, side dishes, rice sets and of course desserts. Overall, would say that it’s a nice play to chill with friends!
